Where Can I Find the Serial Number on a Skidoo

Not sure on the 11 M8 but most of the past tunnell to bulkhead rivets were buck rivets or solid rivets. Tunnell replacements most everyone uses a pop rivet. Even the Arctic Cat parts diagrams replacement rivets are pop rivets and not the same solid rivet that they used at the factory.

They use pop rivets on the newer models now. On the 2012 and up they use self piercing rivets. The 2011 should have a sticker underneath the seat with the model info and serial number. And there is usually a serial number stamped into the side of the tunnel by the gas tank. Like stated above, If those are both missing they have a sticker on the bulkhead with the serial number on it.

This Machine doesnt have any of those. All it has is the engine serial number which matches the Certificate of origin number for the motor. I have another 2011 M8 sitting right next to it and the same rivets are on both sleds. I dont believe its had a new tunnel put on. I called the guy I bought it from and he swears he never put a new tunnel on it. Very Strange. I am anticipating a real pain in the arse when I try to title it here in Idaho. I have a paper trail from Arctic Cat to Cutlers, and then a build sheet from Cutler to the guy I bought it from.
Arctic cat sells fully assembled tunnel/bulkhead assemblies. So if it was replaced that way it would look very production like. When we change them we order a VIN stamped assembly which requires us to cut the old VIN and send it to them before they will stamp the new tunnel.
They can be ordered without the VIN stamped in them also. People order them that way because they come in faster since you don't have to wait for them to recieve the old VIN piece and verify it.

Do you have a tittle or paper work from the bank? When I register my sleds they never ask to see the sled or prof of vin. The bank was more concerned about making sure the vin was right than the state last year when I got my new/used sled.
